Water Department

The Melrose Water Department maintains nearly 3 ½ miles of water mains.  In 2009, the Village added a state-of-the-art water treatment system including an iron removal system, two new wells/well houses and a new water tower.  For fire protection purposes, the Department maintains 42 fire hydrants within and on the outskirts of the Village.

Monitoring

The Water Department complies with strict Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource monitoring standards.  Water from the tap is sampled and tested twice monthly.  Wells are sampled individually on a quarterly basis.
